Welcome

The Haden Institute’s enrollment and cohort platform is one place where every person’s path through a certificate program is kept: from the first inquiry email to the certificate they take home at the end. It replaces the spreadsheets, inboxes and sticky notes that used to carry that story, and it is designed around the way Haden actually teaches — small cohorts, long relationships, a hybrid of in-person weekends at Kanuga and Zoom gatherings in between.

There are two web addresses to remember.

  • The CRM — hadeninstitute-crm.com. The office tool. Prospective students, applicants, cohorts, mentors, the Gmail inbox, dashboards. If you work in the office, this is where you spend your day.
  • The Portal — haden-portal.pages.dev. The student and mentor tool. Students see their schedule, assignments and tuition in one place. Mentors see the submissions waiting on them and how each of their students is doing. The same sign-in works for both: the portal reads who you are and shows the right view.

Read it in order the first time — it moves through the system the way a prospective student does, from first interest through alumni — and come back to a chapter when you need a reminder. Each chapter is short on purpose. If a page in the app has a quirk, we say so plainly.

A note about scaffolds. Two sidebar entries in the CRM are visible today but mostly empty: Alumni Engagement and Social Media. They are real pages, waiting on real work. Each chapter here says plainly where the work stands.

A note about voice. We call people prospects when they haven’t yet told us which program they want, applicants when they have started an application, and students once a cohort begins. Alumni is reserved for people who have finished a program — not just for people whose names turn up on a Kanuga mailing list. The system follows the same words.

If you find anything misleading in this guide, or a place where the software says one thing and the guide says another, write to the office and we will fix it.
