Demo

Demo is where the office (and the client) can see the whole system work without any outside account connected. Every button on this page simulates something that would normally arrive from the outside: an inquiry form submitted on the website, a Zoom participant report, a QuickBooks deposit payment. Each one writes real rows into the real database, and every other page updates to reflect them.

Each tile is one simulated event. The ones that work today:

  • Receive a new inquiry. Creates a prospect in Spiritual Direction (a person_programs row at Prospect), logs the form submission to their Timeline, and queues the marketing sync.
  • Receive a new email (fake agent). Runs the Gmail intake agent inline, using the fake AI adapter. No API key needed.
  • Receive a new email (live Claude). Calls the gmail-process edge function, which uses the Anthropic API key from Supabase secrets to classify (Haiku) and draft (Sonnet). Only works if the key is set.
  • Submit a sample application. Picks any current prospect, writes a plausible application for them, and flips them to Applicant. Review it on the Applications page.
  • Mark deposit paid. Finds the oldest due deposit invoice and marks it paid. The on_payment_paid trigger then flips the enrollment to active and the person’s program row to Student.
  • Import Zoom attendance. Picks the next session with virtual enrollees and imports a plausible participant report.
  • Submit an assignment. Picks an active student with an open assignment and files a submission.
  • Raise a student alert. Creates a high-priority late-assignment alert on an active student. See it on Student Success.

Below the grid, a table records every demo event in order. The office can use this to retrace a demo, or clean up after one.

  • Walking a new teammate through the full lifecycle in ten minutes.
  • Testing the effect of a change without touching real applicant data.
  • Showing the client — one button, one effect, one place to look for the result.

In production, with every adapter flipped live, this page is still useful for the first six buttons; the live-Claude button and the others that touch real external systems will still work — they will just actually email, actually bill, actually post.
